During the period of pregnancy, the woman goes through anatomical, physiological and emotional adaptations that provide discomfort that interferes with the quality of life. The role of a physiotherapist during pregnancy is essential, because, through kinesiotherapeutic exercises, these discomforts decrease.
APPLICATION AND TREATMENT
The kinesiotherapeutic exercises have as objectives: to evaluate, to prevent and to treat the discomforts due to the pregnancy. The physiotherapy treatment program through kinesiotherapy is performed through various strengthening exercises, global stretching, relaxation, pelvic floor proprioception exercises, breathing exercises, weight control and postural reeducation.
The benefits of this therapy are manifold and will have a direct influence on the quality of life of the future mom. Improves physical and emotional well-being, improves everyday movements, decreases respiratory fatigue and fatigue, improves wrist, lower limb pain, lower back pain, pelvic girdle and back muscle tension. Kinesiotherapy exercises provide well-being, reducing the discomforts present, contributing to the preparation of the woman’s body for childbirth.
In the same session a massage therapy can and should be done to help relieve muscle aches and tensions and produce relaxation throughout the body.
